Geocache Description:

The "Ultimate Geocaching Challenge" has come to Mississippi !

This is what it's all about. Do you have what it takes to find all that this great sport has to offer?

There are a bunch of these challenges spread across the country, and the list keeps growing. I've finally duplicated the concept for the state of Mississippi.

This cache IS at the posted coordinates, however you will need to meet the requirements as specified on this cache page in order to log this cache as a find.Actual t/d rating is more like a 2.5/2.

About Fizzy Challenges
Also known as the Well Rounded Cacher challenge, it is about finding at least 1 cache of every possible Difficulty\Terrain combination. There are 81 possible Difficulty\Terrain combination in all. The Fizzy concept started with a cacher in California by the name of Kealia in honour of another Californian cacher known as FizzyMagic. All other Fizzy\Rounded\DT type challenges originated from this cache Well Rounded Cacher (The Fizzy Challenge).

Rules

1. Find and log at least 1 cache of all of the 81 possible Difficulty\Terrain combinations.Below is a blank example of a matrix grid.

Additional Requirements & Rules

...more like 'guidelines' actually...

The most important guideline is to HAVE FUN!. Beyond that please keep the following requirements in mind:
  • There is NO cut-off date for caches hidden with this challenge cache .
  • Don't use a cache with a recent rating change or a history of changed ratings.Any "suspect" entries may be evaluated .
  • Don't use a cache you own or maintain.
  • Don't use a known "liar's cache" - everyone will know it and you're just cheating yourself.
  • You must sign the logs of the caches you use in your grid (of course).
  • Your finds do not have to be from this state.
  • This cache does not count toward satisfying ANY of the challenge cache recquirements.

Suggestions & Recommendations

For those serious on completing this challenge I offer the following suggestions:

  • Start now by checking to see which boxes on the grid you have already completed. Of those you lack create a bookmark list and target those combos, types, sizes, and/or dates you need as soon as possible. Check your finds regularly, because...
  • Sometimes cache owners will indescriminately and with no regard for your mission change the rating on their cache. You should consider the possibility that you may have to "re-find" a particular combination in order to keep your grid filled. It has happened several times to others. If this becomes too much of a problem let me know; I'm sure we can work something out.
  • As route planning is key to the County and DeLorme Challenges, cache targeting is equally important to this challenge cache. Consider creating a PQ for each combo you still need, filtering by date placed and specific difficulty & terrain.
  • Read cache descriptions & logs carefully before driving across the state(s) to hunt a cache that has multiple DNFs and/or hasn't been found in two years!

Tracking and posting your progress
There are several ways to keep up with and show your progress. Here are a few:

Create a bookmark list and include all caches that you need to fulfill the recquirements in it. Add new ones as they are completed.Include this challenge cache in it as well.

GSAK has macros that will keep up with it also. http://www.gsak.net/board/MacroIndex.php

Programs such as Cachestats and GCstatistics are great for compiling info for this challenge cache .

Mygeocachingprofile.com is a great site/tool also

If technology isn't a strong point;the old school pen and paper never fails ! You can just e-mail or snail mail me a text list. Very tedious work to check your work this way.Use as a last resort please.

Feel free to email or post a note of your progress to the cache page. The preferred method of proof of meeting the challenge recquirements is via posting a screenshot of your finished matrix grid or posting a URL/weblink to that same information , but you can also use one of the other methods or come up with a different method . You can upload it a screenshot image with a note to the cache page. For the other recquired caches you can create a bookmark list or just list them in your log

Please allow me the opportunity to check everything over before heading out to find and log the actual cache. This may take a few days depending on free time and the method used to prove your challenge recquirements are met.
