This cache is located in a beautiful area featuring nice hiking and mountain biking, with awesome views of Garden of the Gods and Colorado Springs. The trail is well used, but still a relatively well kept secret in this area. The terrain is really a 1.5. The last section could get a little steep, depending on your approach, and you could easily turn it into a 3. Also, there is a lot of short cactus within the 100 yard perimeter of the cache, so leave your open toed shoes at home and watch that smaller children don’t stumble or grab them. The dog and kids have had no problems on the occasions we have visited the site, so I consider it safe. There is trail all the way right up to the cache, though some of it is not “official” trail. Again, it depends on your approach and how much of a bushwhacker you are.
I wouldn't recommend biking in unless you're a decent mountain biker.
The container is a green ammo box with a white laminated sheet on the front identifying it as the Red Rock Ramble Geocache.
While you're there, be sure to wonder 50 yards south and check out the view and the canyon. If you came in the easy way, you may not even be aware that its there! The cache is located a very safe distance from the edge, but if you decide to explore, watch your step and keep children close by.
