Cmentarz:

U dolu pomnika znajduje sie inskrypcja w jezyku niemieckim:

Do niesmiertelnosci prowadzi
Wiernych brama smierci.
Szczesliwi blogoslawia nas,
Dzieki których ofierze zyja.

Cmentarz wcina sie w zbocze i z tylu zabezpieczony jest masywnym kamiennym murem oporowym nadajacym calosci bardziej monumentalny wyglad.

Na terenie cmentarza wojskowego pochowano takze 11 zolnierzy Wojska Polskiego poleglych podczas II Wojny Swiatowej, jednak poswiecony im pomnik nieco zaburza oryginalny wyglad cmentarza.

The Cemetery:

In Janowice, on a steep slope there is a civil cemetery and a section of a war cemetery from WWI. 123 Austro-Hungarian soldiers and 17 Russian were buried there. It's one of the interesting designs by Heinrich Scholz. In the back, the central part of the cemetery there is a memorial shaped like a wall with an 3 m high Christ on it. The base of the memorial is decorated with an inscription in German language:

To immortality leads
Faithful people the gate of death.
The happy people bless us,
Thanks to our sacrifice they are alive.

The cemetery has been cut in a slope and in the back it is secured with a massive stone retaining wall which contributes to more monumental look.

On the grounds of the war cemetery also 11 soldiers of Polish Army fallen during WWII were buried, however the memorial commemorating them has disturbed the original look of the cemetery.

The Cache:

The container includes a logbook and a pencil.
