Cache is located in the Roberts Farm Preserve on Roberts Road off Rt. 117/118 by Norway lake. The preserve is 165 acres of well marked trails dedicated to non motorized activities such as hiking, biking, skiing, or snowshoeing. Some trails are dog friendly. See the kiosk for trail map and uses. Parking is at N44.12.564, W070.34.199
Minnie Libby was born in Waterford on 7/29/1863. She studied art at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. In 1882 she returned to Norway to work with a local photographer at the Crockett Studio. She learned how to do retouching of photographs, along with sensitizing dry plates and silvering paper. She was 22 years old when she opened her own studio on Deering street in Norway. She was the towns photographer for over 60 years. She died on 4/19/1947.
