Located in Robert's Farm Preserve on Robert's Road off Rt. 117/118 by Norway Lake. This is a 165 acre preserve with numerous trails dedicated to non motorized activities including hiking, biking, skiing, and snowshoeing. Some trails are dog friendly. Check kiosk for trail map and uses. Parking is at N44.12.564, W070.34.199.
C.A. Stephens was born in 1844 in Greenwood, ME. He wrote over 1500 stories for The Youth's Companion out of Boston and by the time he died he had written around 3000 short stories and 31 books, a lot of them based on his childhood years in the area. He also graduated from Boston University School of Medicine where he specialized in geriatrics. His second wife was "Madam Scalar" a famous opera singer known around the world for her lovely voice. He died in 1931 and Norway's hospital is named after him.
