RoobyDoo: Made a concerted effort today to do maintenance on no:2 and 3. In fact they all needed doing (except no:1 which I did a few weeks ago).
However, for two reasons, I am archiving the series:
- Around Derry Brook, the area is susceptable to flooding. Our wonderful British Summer has made this series impassable for most of this year. It is still up to 3 feet deep in places.
- The farmer is not maintaining either the public rights of way or the signage, and the infrequent visitors means that Mother Nature is reclaiming the walks with brambles, thistles and nettles.
I could raise the difficulty of the series, but in my opinion, it is no longer a pleasant walk.
As a result, the caches are lifted and the series archived.
