NOTE: This is
a paddle cache - you can't get there from the
shore/roads.
Don't even think about this without a small boat -
seriously.
Just another paddle
cache...
TeamIDFC
went out today to remove all our caches in the Mercer Slough as
they have all been archived... :(
But,
one of those caches
Bellevue's slough to lake multi paddle had a great spot for a
final and we couldn't let it go to waste, now could we?
This
is a nice paddle that takes you from the slough (if you launch
there) out into a bay of Lake Washington. Some powerboat
traffic, but nothing too bad as it is well inside the no wake zone.
A small lock-n-lock final awaits your urban paddle from the
calm of the slough, under 2 lanes of super-highway, to the relative
calm of the bay.
If
you'd previously done the multi you get another shot at a great
paddle and a fresh find. If you didn't manage to get to the
multi before it disappeared, you still get a chance to have the
same great paddle.
PS:
Yes, the log is the same as the old Multi - we thought it
would be cool for folks that returned to see how long it had been
since their last trip.
Cache: Small
lock-n-lock. It is maybe half a mile paddle from the
launch.
Portage: Minimal to none.
You can launch at the waterline. No permit required at the
ramp or the park.
