Welcome to another of our caches designed to fill in the gaps, as well as take cachers to interesting and historic sites in the Great Southern of Western Australia.
This cache takes you to an interesting and easily missed plaque.
There is parking off the highway at both locations.
The above coordinates will take you to a distance marker at the old Wansbrough siding just off the Great Southern Highway. Not much remains of the siding, but the area is typical of sidings once common along the length of the line.
Convert these numbers top to bottom to a, b, and c. Then substitute them into the following coordinate to give you the final location. 34 08.(a+2)(b+2)0S 117 40.c07E
The final location is a plaque located on a large rock a few metres off the highway. The cache is now within reach. After you sign the log and replace the cache, spare a thought for the subject of the plaque.
