Geocache Description:

Located at How Hill, Ludham on a public footpath and alongside free public moorings, this cache is easily accessible, on foot or by water.

The cache near to Toad Hole Marsh Man's Cottage museum, is magnetic tube containing a log sheet only. BYOP. Once the cache is located it is easy to retrieve and replace.

Being close to the path which forms the access to Broads Authoritiy's Toad Hole Marshman's Cottage Museum from the river and to the embarkation point for the Electric Eel Water Trail, I believe it should be accessible to disabled folk. The cottage and water trail are only open in the Summer months.

There are a number of published walks in the area. For details (visit link)

Parking is at the fishermen's car park a few hundred yards away. See waypoint. This car park is not open in winter and in the summer the gate is locked at 5 pm.

This is a very popular area in summer and the moorings are well used by holiday makers but with care you should be able to retrieve and replace the cache without arousing suspicion.

Wildlife abounds here and apart from the usual waterfowl you have a good chance of seeing heron, kingfisher, otters and Swallowtail butterfly.

From here it is a short walk to the 'Turf' Fen cache and on by a circular route back to the car park. (approximately a mile in total)
