Gömman är på en ö i Garnsviken. Cachen är
en vit medicinburk innehållande loggbok, penna, beskrivning
och några små bytesföremål.
The cache is situated on an island in Garnsviken. The container is
a white medicine jar containing log book, pencil and a few small
trading items.
Ön Storholmen i Garnsviken upptäckte vi på en
långfärdsskridskotur. Ett perfekt fikaställe. Det
är fina klippor på sydvästra delen av ön. Det
är möjligt att ta sig till ön med skridskor /
skidor. I år har Österåkers kommun plogat en bana
runt Garnsviken. Garnsviksbadet ligger inte långt
härifrån. Långhundraleden har också sin
sträckning här förbi.
Använd sunt förnuft då ni tar er till ön och
ha rätt utrustning.
We discovered the island of Storholmen (big islet) in Garnsviken on
a skating tour. A perfect place for a coffee break. There are nice
cliffs on the SW part of the islet. It is possible to access
Storholmen with skates and or skies. This year the Municipality of
Österåker has ploughed a "track" for ice skaters around
Garnsviken. The public bath Garnsviksbadet lays not far away and
also the canoe trail Långhudraleden passes here.
Please use common sense accessing the island, and use adequate
equipment.
