Natural monument called “Rohoznik - Lom v Dubci” consists of two individual parts: Rohoznik hill in itself and little quarry near to Dubec village.
Rohoznik hill (279 a.s.l.) forms dominating scenic feature over the right bank of Rícanský potok creek. From its ridge, formed predominantly from O rdovician quartzite, we can see St. Peter‘s church, which is dominating building in Dubec. From time out of mind, the wall stone has been exploited here. During the exploitation, the geological cross-section of the elevation has been disclosed, which forms main reason for its statutory protection. In the quarry we can see especially the quartzite, sandstone and clay stone benches, folded to form “M” letter fold. In the syncline of the fold (upper depression) the superposed shales have been preserved, otherwise removed all around by water erosion lasting millions years The "Lom v Dubci" quarry, situated eastwards, has been also exploited for production of quartzites and sandstones, but in much lower extent. Here, the plane has been disclosed with riffles which represent undoubted evidence of horizontal translation of strata in the late of Primary period. This unique phenomenon illustrating the faults which took part in geological history can be seen in Middle Bohemia region only rarely. However, the locality is fenced and inapproachable. On the Rohožník hilltop, it is retained the little fragment of rocky steppe. However, better part of the hill has been afforested in second half of 20th century using unsuitable species - mainly pine tree and red oak.

Prirodni pamatka Rohoznik - Lom v Dubci se sklada ze dvou samostatnych casti - ostrohu Rohozniku a maleho lumku na okraji Dubce.
Rohoznik (279 m n.m.) tvori vyraznou krajinou dominantu nad pravym brehem Ricanskeho potoka. Z jeho hrbetu, tvoreneho prevazne ordovickymi kremenci, je pekny pohled na dominantu Dubce, kostel svateho Petra. Odnepameti se tu take tezil kamen ke stavebnim ucelum. Pri tezbe byla odkryta geologicka stavba navrsi, ktera je dnes hlavnim duvodem geologicke ochrany lokality. V lomu je mozne videt zejmena stridajici se lavice kremencu, piskovcu a jilovcu, vyvrasnene do mohutne vrasy tvaru "M". V synklinale (horni "prohlubni") vrasy se dochovaly i nadlozni bridlice, ktere jinak byly z okoli za miliony let vodni erozi odstraneny. Vychodneji lezici "Lom v Dubci" slouzil tez k tezbe kremencu a piskovcu, ovsem v mnohem mensim rozsahu. Zde je pro zmenu odkryta plocha s ryhami, ktere nesporne dokladaji horizontalni posuny vrstev na konci prvohor. Jde o unikatni doklad posunu, jeden z nemnoha odkryvu tohoto fenomenu ve strednich Cechach. Tato lokalita je vsak oplocena a neni nepristupna. Temeno Rohozniku zachovava nevelky fragment skalni stepi. Vetsi cast navrsi vsak ve druhe polovine 20. stoleti zalesnena, bohuzel druhove nevhodnymi drevinami - prevazne borovici a cervenym dubem.
Touto lokalitou prochazi naucna stezka Dubec – Uhrineves.
