Stationen Universitetet på Roslagsbanan invigdes 7 januari 2010
och ersätter den gamla stationen Universitetet som låg bakom
statoilmacken och den olycksdrabbade stationen Frescati nära
Bergianska botaniska trädgården. Stationen ligger relativt nära
universitetets Tunnelbane- och busstation vilket gör den till en
bytespunkt mellan olika färdmedel.
Stationen smälter in väl i naturen då den ligger i en sänka och
man har även valt ett liknande mörkt tegel som fasadmaterial som
använts till Vetenskapsakademiens och botaniska institutionens
byggnader.
På båda sidor om stationen breder sig Lilla Frescati
koloniförenings lotter ut sig. På en allmäning i den östra delen av
koloniträdgården står en 500 år gammal ek med en stamomkrets på 5
meter.
En nybyggd gångväg i det nordvästra hörnet leder ner till
Bergianska trädgården.
Cachen är placerad på ett lite mindre mugglartätt ställe i
närheten
The railway station "Universitetet" (The university) was opened
the 7 january 2010 and replaces the old "Universitetet" station,
located behind the gas station, and the station "Frescati" at the
botanic garden. The station is close to the subway- and bus
stations, which makes it an exchange point.
The open-air station is situated in a hollow. Parts of the
station is built with the same type of dark bricks as the nearby
buildings.
There are allotment gardens on both sides of the station. Among
the garden on the east side is an 500 year old oaktree. The trunk
is 5 meters in circumference.
In norrthwest is a new walkway to the botanic garden.
The cache is placed nearby in a more muggler.free location
