Geocache Description:

Click to enjoy a winter landscape.

The cache is NOT located at the above coordinates.

This cache series celebrates the diversity of wildlife Connecticut has to offer. One way to characterize Connecticut wildlife is how it copes with winter. These include migrating, taking a catnap, hibernating, to torpor or continue to remain active.

Solving this puzzle requires that you find the following caches in this series:

Winter Wildlife – The Active
Winter Wildlife – The Catnappers
Winter Wildlife – The Hibernators
Winter Wildlife – The Migrators
Winter Wildlife – The Torpors

Obtain the numbers located on the inside lid of each cache container (also on the inside cover of the original logbooks). Add these numbers together. Add this total to the N and W coordinates at the top of this cache page.

Example:
Numbers from the cache lids = 24 + 15 + 54 + 20 + 18 = 131
The final is at:
N 41 54.287 + 131 = N 41 54.418
W 072 41.386 + 131 = W 072 42.517

Please note in your log if you see any animals or evidence of animals during your quest for this series. Include how you believe they might cope with winter. As always, enjoy the adventure!
