This site was home to the 1st St Marys Scout Group back in the
late 70’s when I first joined the Scout movement as a little
cub.
The trees that the cache is near, were planted when I was in
Scouts and the lone pine you see in the middle of the yard was part
of a row of trees behind the Q store. You can still see the
levelled area where the hall once stood.
The St Marys Rotary Club approached the council to allow them to
build a playground on the site, but this was rejected.
The cache is on council land not private land, so please ignore
the locked gate
