St Mary The Virgin Church, Little Chesterford originates from the 13th Century. It is in the village of Little Chesterford close to the River Cam. At one time the village had a shop, two pubs, a reading room and an infants school which have all now closed. The school was built in 1862 for 24 children, but closed in 1902 – the building is now the village hall and is next to the church. The reading rooms and pubs are now private houses.
The cache is a small clip top container and is hidden a short walk from the church through a field which sometimes has horses in residence. There is one stile to cross.
There is a small car park next to the church at N52.03.206 E0.12.523.
If anybody would like to expand this series please do, I would just ask that you let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
