Geocache Description:

A series of caches which we have put out to link Kingswood Railway Station to our Mugswell Meander circuit.

We’ve called it ‘The Other Half’ for two reasons – firstly, it is the other half of the Mugswell Circuit, and secondly because you will hopefully get the opportunity to see how ‘The Other Half’ live in Kingswood – where houses all have swimming pools and at the time of writing this cache page, were on the market for up to £4 million! You never know, you may spot the odd footballer or drug dealer – they’re surely the only people with enough money to buy these pads!

The Other Half Circuit – is a circuit in its own right, but links up with the Mugswell Meander circuit in between MUG9 and MUG10 – hence the cache names!

The caches on the circuit range in size from micro to regular. We have tried to put out the largest cache possible for the site, as we hope that this will give people the opportunity to leave travel bugs and other swaps in many of the caches.

The walk will take you close to other already existing Purple_pineapple caches (Bee in your Bonnet and Mill Lane) which form part of our RTB series. We’re not saying which of these, if any need specialist equipment, but as these caches are all close to the road, you can always have a look and then come back later with whatever equipment you need. For those of you who haven’t encountered our RTB series, they are all unusual cache hides .

You might also be able to pick up a couple of Parmstro’s Love/Hate Puzzles series fairly close to the route if you solve them first!

All the caches are meant to be easy finds, and we've given some quite detailed hints to help you. Unfortunately due to the varying terrain, we do not feel that some of this series will be wheelchair friendly (there are a few stiles) although any that are, will be given an appropriate terrain rating.

In order for you to complete the circuit, you will need to walk along a few roads, cross the busy A217 and cross a railway line at an unmanned crossing point. Please keep hold of geo-dogs and junior cachers especially near the railway line as there are quite a few trains on it daily.

This circuit is fortunately more livestock-free than the first half, but there are potentially cows in fields near the beginning and end. Just a warning if you like livestock as much as Mrs PP does!

Happy Caching!
