A mini series (approx 2km) of caches placed near the tracks to take you around this pleasant park.
There is a very short section of private road that can be busy at school times, no need to go near the main road between 5 and 6.
The present park was laid out and enclosed in the latter part of the 17th century, part of the original park now forms the grounds of the City of London Freeman's School.
Ashtead Park is situated on heavy London clay and contains characteristic vegetation, with mainly oak woodland.
Terrain rating as a series which will be muddy wintertime.
