Geocache Description:

Located at the McKeahnie Trig, this cache is a bit challenge to get to! The vegetation is demanding, and the final location is up a tricky crevice to get to the viewing platform. It may only be 2.5km from the nearest track, but that’s a total of 5km of fighting! Bring plenty of water!

Anyways, it’s all worth it, because at the end you will discover the most amazing trig (in my opinion anyway)! I cannot work out how it was built up there – incredible! There’s also plenty of granite for granite lovers, and of course awesome views! – Corin Dam, visible from here is still very low!

Please take along the spoiler photos, as they may be helpful. Also, please ensure that the cache is returned as deep as it will go, you may have to jiggle it a bit to get it in all the way. Then cover well with the small rocks to ensure muggles don’t accidentally spy it on the way up through the crevice... – Judging by the bushwalking register, muggles do come here quite regularly. I even found an old compass along the way – I must have been following in someone else’s footsteps!

The whole walk is 10km (return) from Smokers Gap car park, it took me 5 hours all up.
