Another prize for the tramping cachers who do the Tongariro Crossing.
By the time you arrive at GZ of this cache you have likely just completed the climb of the Devils Staircase and need a break...!
The Devils Staircase is so much easier than it used to be. It used to be a clamber over rocks up a ravine... Department of Conservation workers have done a wonderful job and put in this great path and steps. If you see a DOC worker give him some cheery words of thanks.
It is still a gruelling climb so take a deserved break here and log another smilie.

The cache is a small plastic tube inside a TechnoKitten Camo Bag with log and small gel pen but take your own. Room for very small swaps or GC's only.
This crossing is a very popular tramp for many muggles so stealth might be necessary.
Please replace the cache securely.
