A regular cache overlooking the San Pedro River. Easy to find but requires a short climb thru thorns after arriving in the vicinity via a lengthy but easy trail. You may want to bike to it.
Located in the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area which is an important corridor for migrating birds.
The trail runs between Hereford Rd and the San Pedro House at Highway 90. Parking is located at either of those locations. The cache is slightly closer to Hereford Rd than San Pedro House.
At the cache site the cottonwoods along the river can be seen from San Pedro House to Hereford Bridge area. There are also 360° views of the surrounding mountain ranges, including San Jose (Mexico), Mules, Dragoons, Whetstones & Huachucas.
