It's finally here - Utah has been Geocaching for TEN years, and if
that doesn't warrant a party, I don't know what does. THE BIG
POTLUCK IS AT 6PM IN SITE #6. BRING IT!!!
I will add more details to this page as we get further along, but
for now, just know that we will be at the above coordinates on
Friday the 13th of August, 2010, til Sunday the 15th to
celebrate Utah Geocaching's 10th anniversary. Those who are tenting
or have small campers are welcome to set up in site #6 (the
coordinates are for that site) but if you want to bring a larger
camper/RV you will need to get your own site. We will, of course,
have a potluck lunch/dinner on Saturday afternoon. Please RSVP here
with the number in your party so those planning games and other
activities can know what to expect.
July 4th 2010 Update
I am moving to Arizona to take a new job there, and the odds are
that I will not be able to make it to this event this year. I have
greatly enjoyed these every year in the past, and wish I could make
this one, but things being what they are, This might be the last
one with which I have any involvement. I hope someone will take up
the torch and keep these going, as they have been some of my best
memories associated with Geocaching over the last 9 years.
Hopefully I can make it to some of them in the future. I will not
be attending Potter's Ponds this year, but Udink has been kind
enough to see that it happens. The traditional potluck pig-out will
take place at 6 pm on Saturday, so if you want to participate in
that, plan on being at site #6 at six. I really wish I could make
it this year. This will be the first one I have ever missed, and as
I have watched the RSVPs pile up in my e-mail, I keep thinking of
all the great memories I've had there and how many I'll miss this
year. I hope you will all take lots of photos and make me feel I
was part of this occasion.
