Alder Spring pops-out of the hillside just a few feet from this cache and feeds the thirsty plants that have grown-up around here. It would be a good place to filter some drinking water, though I'm not sure if it's a year-round source.
A satellite view shows a private home about 600 feet away, just out of sight down the road and to the right. It's a private property "island" within Russian Ridge OSP, according to the official map.
