Listed coordinates are for the "Warriors Gate." One of the gated
entrances to Central Park. Each gate was named by Olmsted and Vaux,
the park's designers, for the type of person they anticipated
entering the park from that area. The cache is not there, but is a
short walk away.
Called by some the "Army and Navy Gate" this gate celebrates the
warriors that have protected society for centuries, from knights
touring back and forth across the countryside protecting damsels in
distress, to our modern Army protecting our rights. I have based
this puzzle on another ancient puzzle, itself based on a game that
also celebrated the warrior and war, known by some as the "Royal
Game." Take your own tour of the field of war, and see if you can
win the battle and extract the coords you need to find the
final.
