Geocache Description:

The cache is a black 35mm film pot placed approximately 30cm above the ground.

I am surprised that there are so few caches in Ieper.
I have therefore placed this cache near the Fish Market (Vismarkt).
It should be easy to find, even without a GPSr, because the Satellite View of the cache is good.
Please put the cache back where it can't be seen easily.
Good luck

PS: many thanks to Vincent, the owner of the Ambrosia Hotel, Ieper (Ypres), for helping me to maintain this cache. And also to E-Lovers.

Yorkshire Trenches:
Entrance to these trenches is free-of-charge and they are well worth visiting.
They are located here: N 50° 53.300 E 002° 52.448

The Trench of Death (Dodengang:
Entrance to this very interesting trench is also free.
You can find it easily by visiting this cache:
Dodengang (GC1WNC8 - N 51° 02.934 E 002° 50.796), by Survivalman.
If the trench is closed, you can see most of it if you walk along the path, to the south of the cache, between the trench and the river.

John McCrae's Memorial:
I also recommend that you visit this cemetery a short way to the north of Ieper.
There is a cache there (In Flanders Fields, GC279XE) so finding it should be easy.
There is another bunker approximately 200m north of the bunkers near the memorial.
You need to walk through a field to get to it.

John McCrae's Grave:
John's grave is in Wimereux, here: N 50° 46.433 E 001° 36.880

UPDATE 2: Many thanks to the owners of the ~100 WW1-related caches that have been placed in the Ieper area.
