If you would like brownie points then find and photograph the O.S. plate.
The nearby church used to be known as the Christ Church until the old parish church was closed
in 1999. Since the rededication it became the St Mary's and Christ Church. It was built in the Tractarian style at John Platt's expense and consecrated in 1864. The William Hill organ is regarded
as one of the finest organs in north Wales and is in regular use for recitals. It used to be powered by water fed from the nearby river, Afon Ddu.
Low water levels in summer were a problem that was resolved in 1936
when an electric blower was fitted.
Some of the stained glass windows are the work of the Tractarian artist
Charles Eamer Kempe while one at least is from the workshops of Clayton and Bell.
Apologies to everyone who's had trouble with this cache. The gps tends to go awry here and so I've, updated the hint to help.
