Jozin z bazin - The Rocky Mill Traditional Geocache

Tato keš vás zavede do kokorínských bažin, které skrývají nejedno tajemství.

Žije zde záhadná stvura (nebo snad nestvura?), údajne neco mezi vodníkem a yettim. Nejznámejší exemplár pocházející z okolí Vizovic skoncil v zoologické zahrade, jak popisuje Ivan Mládek ve své známé písni. Jožinuv útek ze ZOO se sice médiím podarilo ututlat, ale podle všeho prebehl z Moravy do Cech a usadil se v kokorínských bažinách, kde nalezl klid a dostatek potravy (žere hlavne Pražáky… :-).

Souradnice vás privedou do míst kde se Jožin casto skrývá. Budete li mít štestí a zahlédnete ho, nebo se vám ho dokonce podarí vyfotit podelte se o svuj zážitek s ostatními, prípadne mužete priložit k logu fotku – at už samotného Jožina nebo, budete li mít obzvlášt štestí i jeho družky Jožinky, ci dokonce i s malými Jožincaty.

V Kokorínském údolí na rece Pšovce bylo více než 20 mlýnu. Z nekterých se dochovaly jen cásti vysekané v pískovcové skále (napr. Štampach - GC1006K a Hlucov)

Hlucov je skupina chalup nedaleko skalního útvaru Poklicky, mlýn stával na protejší strane údolí. Nejstarší dochovaná písemná zmínka o mlýnu hlucovském je z roku 1620. Na skále je vytesaný letopocet 1867.

Na plošine pred skalními místnostmi byly ke skále pristaveny dve hrázdené budovy, které už úplne zmizely. Na jejich míste je dnes bažina, která dosahuje místy až ke skalní stene.

Dodnes je znatelný mlýnský náhon, který vedl od stavidla, které bylo poblíž mustku, kde prechází pres Pšovku modrá znacka. Náhon vede soubežne s ríckou a koncí trímetrovým skalním tunelem, odkud voda dreveným žlabem tekla na mlýnské kolo a pak se vracela zpet do Pšovky. Vedle náhonu se zachovala rada místností tesaných ve skále, dnes zcásti zaplavených.

Na skalní stene vedle náhonu jsou u zeme videt pravidelné rady malých otvoru. Jsou to stopy po sušárne ovoce. Na prelomu 18. a 19. století se sušení ovoce stalo duležitým vedlejším zamestnáním a zdrojem príjmu. Sušené ovoce z Kokorínska a Dubska se vozilo na trhy do Melníka a Prahy, pozdeji se vyváželo také do Žitavy a Dráždan. Otvory jsou tak nízko, protože kdysi byla úroven terénu nejméne o 1 metr níž než je dnes.

V dobách provozu mlýnu to tady vypadalo úplne jinak. Pšovka mela mnohem vetší prutok. Dnes je to jen potucek, protože prišla o znacnou cást vody, která je dnes cerpána z pramenište Stríbrník u Vojtechova a je odvedena do vodovodu ve Mšene.

Každý mlynár udržoval svuj úsek reky, cistil koryto i brehy. Posledních 60 let bez údržby se projevilo tím že se kolem zaneseného koryta vytvorily bažiny a tune, nejen u tohoto mlýna.

Na konci mlýna vyverá ze skály silný pramen který kdysi odtékal korytem do Pšovky. Nyní je odtok prehrazen náspem silnice a tahle prehrada vytvorila bažinu a zaplavila skalní místnosti. Nánosy bahna zpusobily že dnešní úroven zeme pred mlýnem je mnohem výš než byla dríve.

Kudy a jak na kešku:

Nejbližší parkovište je Cikánský plácek u Poklicek. (N50°27.281 E014°35.180)
Odtud ke mlýnu je to asi 400 metru.
Z parkovište mužete jít dvemi cestami.

Dobrodružnejší cestou starým náhonem: po modré znacce, za mustkem odbocit vlevo (N50°27.236 E014°35.127) na vyšlapanou pešinku mezi ostružinami, koprivami a jiným chrundím, prekonat asi 20 metru a pak pohodlne náhonem až ke mlýnu.

Ženy a deti mohou jít po asfaltu (pozor na auta, silnice je úzká) a za místem kde Pšova protéká pod mustkem na druhou stranu silnice prejít doprava až k náhonu.

Hledejte vyšlapané pešinky, našlapujte opatrne. Utopení v bažine nikomu nehrozí, ale voda a bahno v botách není také nic príjemného. Ke skrýši lze pri troše opatrnosti dojít suchou nohou. Doporucuji porádné boty, sandály nejsou nejvhodnejší. Také doporucuji odlov jen za denního svetla, potme se muže stát že najednou budete mít pocit že vám tece do bot :-)

Keš není v žádné místnosti, není treba lézt po skále ani hrabat v zemi.

Jen místnosti u keše jsou suché a mužete si je bezpecne prohlédnout, dál je jen bažina. V dalších místnostech je kolem 30 cm vody a bahna, místy i víc, v bahne mohou být strepy nebo dreva s hrebíky, tam prohlídku nedoporucuji.

Mlýn je na území prírodní rezervace Kokorínský dul, chovejte se, prosím ohleduplne k živé i neživé prírode.

His cache you take to the kokorin’s swamp, which hides more than one secret.

A mysterious monster (or creature?) live here, it is pretended something between water sprite and yetti. The most known specimen from around of Vizovice terminated in a ZOO, how is describe by Ivan Mladek in a well known song. Jozin’s escape from ZOO was suppress by media, but probably he desert from the Moravia to the Bohemia and he was settled in the kokorin’s swamp, where he found the calm and enough feed (He eat especially the Praguers :-).

The coordinates you take to the places, where Jozin is often hide. If you will have a good luck and you’ll see him, or if you take a photo of him, share you experience with others, and you can add your photo to the log – it may be photo of Jozin or if you had more chance so photos of Jozins’s wife or their children.

In the Kokorin valley of the Psovka creek was more than 20 mills. Some of them was been survived to this day only the parts intagliated into the sandstone rock - example Stampach - GC1006K and Hlucov.

Hlucov is a group of cottages near a rock formation Poklicky, mill stood on the opposite side of the valley. The oldest surviving written mention of the mill Hlucov is from 1620. On the rock there is carved the number of year 1867.

Besides the mill race it is several more rooms carved into the rock, now partially flooded. On the area in front of the rooms were build two half-timbered buildings which had completely disappeared. In their place is now a swamp, which somewhere reach up to the rock wall.

Here is still noticeable mill race, which led from the sluice gate, which was near the bridge which passes through Psovka blue turist trail. The mill race alongside the creek and ends 3 metres long rock tunnel, where the water flowed to a wooden gutter mill on the wheel and then returned back to Psovka.

In the rock wall next to the you can see a regular series of small holes at the ground. These holes are remains of the drying fruit. At the turn of the 18th and 19 century drying fruit has become an important secondary source of employment and profit. Dried fruit of Kokorin region was exported to the markets in Prague and Melnik, later it was exported to the Zittau and Dresden too. The holes are so low, because once the ground level of at least 1 m lower than today.

Once upon a time in the Psovka creek run to much more water. Today the water is pumped from the spring well Stribrnik near the Vojtechov and it is taken to water supply of the town Mseno.

Every miller was taken care of his part of the creek, they cleaned the bottom and the banks of creek. Last 60 years without was care cause that around the creek was created swamp and ponds, not only around the mill.

At the end of the mill there is a spring well flowing from a rock which was around flew into the Psovka creek. Now the water can´t flow because the road embankment is a dam which cause creating swamp and swamped the rock mill rooms. The sediment deposits of the mud caused the current level of the ground before the mill is much higher than previously.

Way and how to the cache:

Nearest parking is here: (N50°27.281 E014°35.180)
From the parking to the mill is about 400 meters.
From there you can go by two different ways.

Adventure way go through the old mill race: go to the blue turist trail under the bridge turn left (N50°27.236 E014°35.127) on the well trodden path between blackberries, nettles and other bushes, about 20 metres and then easily go in the old mill race and continue to the mill.

Women and children can walk on the road (attantion for cars, the road is narrow), and in the place where the Psovka creek flowing under the bridge to the other side of the road go to the right at the mill race.

Search the path, Tread carefully. You can not drown in the swamp, but water and mud in your shoe is also not pleasant. If you be careful, you can go to the cache to the dry ground. Recommend proper shoes (no sandals).

Cache is not in any room, nor need to climb the rock or dig in the ground.

Only the rooms nearby the cache are dry and you can safely read it over, everything else is just a swamp. In other rooms are approximately 30 cm of water and mud, sometimes more. In the mud may be shards or wood with nails, there not recommend search.

The mill is in the nature reserve Kokorinsky dul, be considerate to animate and inanimate nature, please.
