Ulica Szeroka to wlasciwie wydluzony rynek, ze starymi synagogami, palacem i dostojnymi domami z XVI, XVII i XVIII wieku. W 1495 roku na terenie dawnej wsi Bawól zaczeli sie osiedlac krakowscy Zydzi. Wkrótce uformowalo sie tu Miasto Zydowskie oddzielone - zgodnie z obowiazujacymi wówczas zwyczajami wewnetrznymi murami od reszty Kazimierza. Zapewne na przelomie XV i XVI wieku stanela tu synagoga zwana Stara (GC20BKP), a niespelna pól wieku pózniej, obok zalozonego wczesniej cmentarza - druga bóznica Remuh. Jest ona jedyna czynna obecnie ortodoksyjna boznica. Boznica Remuh znajduje sie blisko miejsca do którego prowadza wspólrzedne – urokliwej uliczki utrzymanej w stylu z dawnych czasów. W poblizu warto równiez zwrócic uwage na Pomnik poswiecony pamieci zamordowanych przez Niemców krakowskich Zydów. Na tablicy znajduje sie napis w jezykach polskim, angielskim i hebrajskim: „Miejsce zadumy nad meczenska smiercia 65 tysiecy obywateli polskich narodowosci zydowskiej z Krakowa i okolic zamordowanych przez hitlerowców w czasie II wojny swiatowej".

Szeroka Street is actually extended the market, with its old synagogues, the palace and the distinguished houses of the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. In 1495 year, the former village of Bawól began settling Jews of Cracow. Soon formed a separate Jewish city here - according to the customs of the walls from the rest of Kazimierz. Probably at the turn of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries stood there called the Old Synagogue (GC20BKP), and less than half a century later, in addition to previously established a cemetery - a second synagogue Remuh. It is currently the only active Orthodox synagogue. Remuh synagogue is near the location to which the coordinates of the lead - charming streets maintained in the style of ancient times. Nearby we also pay attention to the monument dedicated to the memory of murdered by the Germans, the Jews of Cracow. On the blackboard is the inscription in Polish, English and Hebrew: "Place of meditation on a martyr's death 65 thousand Polish citizens of Jewish nationality from Cracow and the surrounding areas were murdered by the Nazis during the Second World War."
