Geocache Description:

Suggested parking is at the parking lot at the corner of Lees Summit Road and East Bass Pro Drive. This is a common parking lot for people walking the paved trail to Bass Pro Shops. Permission for this cache has been granted by the Independence Park District. The coordinates are listed below:

This is our first ever cache placed. We hope you have a fun time trying to find it! We had a fun time hiding it. Cache is a large container with camouflage tape on the outside. We have put a Maglite keyring flashlight in the cache for the FTF (First To Find). For the first 50 yards from the parking lot you will be on paved trails. You will come to a fence line that goes off to the North, take this path to the left of the hill. The cache will be found on the North side of the wetlands. You do not need to go into the wet area to find the cache…it is to the north of the trail…hint…hint. The terrain is pretty flat until the last 20 yards. Some bushwhacking will be required to find the cache. While hiking to the cache enjoy looking for deer, ducks and other beautiful wildlife!
