Geocache Description:

Why is there an Alaskan Totem Pole In Weed?

In times past you would have seen cars and trucks with a slogan of 'Alaska or Bust' or whatever the destination written on the windows or surface of the vehicle. The coordinates will take you to a location where you will find a structure with some history behind it. For some this place could be considered the starting point for a huge adventure. The structure here may or may not help you find the hidden container.

So, Why is there an Alaskan Totem Pole In Weed?

In the middle of Ray’s Super Market parking lot, just as you head off to I-5 or Hwy 97 you’ll see a large Alaskan Totem Pole sprouting right out of the middle of the parking lot. The reason is that Hwy 97 is the beginning of the Alaskan-Canadian Highway. That’s right! If you were to stay on Hwy 97 you would eventually find yourself driving through Canada and into Alaska. And when you reach Alaska there is an identical totem pole there.

Happy caching and be careful replacing the cache, assuming you find it..
