Si vous venez visiter ce site en été, vous verrez une large étendue de nénuphars en fleurs posés sur le Lounis, qui se jette ici dans la Garonne.
Pour accéder au parc, vous pouvez vous garer sur la place de l’Eglise (voir waypoint) et admirer le château (du XVIe au XIXe siècle) tout proche puis descendre vers le parc en passant derrière l’église.
Vous pourrez alors voir une fontaine datant du XVIe siècle en contrebas (voir waypoint), avant de vous diriger vers le trésor, qui vous attend au bout du parc…..
I L’ église Saint-Vincent
Cette église servait à l’origine de chapelle au château, auquel elle était reliée par un souterrain. Construite sur un plan gothique, dans le même style et à la même époque que le château, elle a rapidement remplacé l’église paroissiale primitive.
II Le Château.
Construit sur un plan gothique qui remonte au XVe siècle, il a appartenu sous l’Ancien Régime au Seigneur de Couladère.
Puis, à partir de 1620, la seigneurie passe aux mains des Vise, alliés à la famille de Sarrieux, de Martres Tolosane.
III La fontaine.
C’est la fontaine historique de la commune. Son eau réputée attirait des habitants de tout le canton. Elle était ombragée par un immense ormeau, que Sully aurait fait planter en souvenir d’une visite d’ Henri IV à Couladère. Quand il fut abattu en 1942, sa circonférence à hauteur de la source était de 9 mètres !

If you visit this site in summer, you will see a wide range of lilies in bloom laid on the Lounis, which flows here into the Garonne.
To enter the park, you can park near the Church (see waypoint) and admire the castle (sixteenth to nineteenth century) and then walk down to the park from behind the church.
Then, below, you will then see a fountain dating from the sixteenth century (see waypoint), before heading to the treasure that awaits you at the end of the park ... ..
I St. Vincent’s Church.
This church was originally the chapel of the castle, and a tunnel connected the two buildings. Built on a Gothic pattern, in the same style and at the same time as the castle, it quickly replaced the original parish church.
II The Château.
Built on a Gothic pattern dating back to the fifteenth century, it belonged to the Lord of Couladère under the Ancien Regime.
Then, in 1620, the lordship passed to the Vise, allied to the Sarrieux family from Martres Tolosane.
III The fountain.
It is the historic fountain of the town. Its famous water attracted people from across the district. It was shaded by a huge elm that Sully supposedly planted in memory of a visit of Henri IV in Couladère. When it was cut in 1942, its circumference was 9m!
