Mud Dancer: I've been hearing third-hand (or higher) things like Rita & Nick have moved to Greece and aren't returning, but maybe they will return because their daughter is in Ohio, the place is for sale, etc. I still hope to get a more direct answer via another source as I'm just curious how the owners are doing (I wonder how Rita is handling "no hugging"?), but that has been SLOW in coming. There's never been a For Sale (or For Lease) sign and no message on the entrance (there were two FedEx non-delivery notices on the door at one point). Today I called their phone number as I hadn't done that recently. It has been disconnected.
Some folks have said we can always start it up again with a new event, but knowing how many people would attend a new event there is no way that location could support that number of people. And it wouldn't be the same without Rita! Maybe sometime in the future someone else will find a location and start an event anew.
THANK YOU to all who attended and especially to all the "regulars" who continued to attend even when it meant no smiley count and were there most every month purely for the camaraderie! It's been a great run and a lot of fun for the last 10+ years!
