A micro cache on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee, where a
2000 years old boat is presented. It is part of the Jesus Footsteps
cache series.
Jesus spent a big portion of his life in the Galilee. His miracles
and sermons in several locations in the Galilee are well documented
in the New Testament. This cache series commemorates some of them,
in honor of the pilgrims and other visitors who frequent these
unique places.
The Sea of Galilee played a major role in the lives of Jesus and
his followers. In 1986, as water level decreased, an ancient boat

was discovered in the mud. It was scientifically dated to Jesus
time, and was presumably used for fishing. It is now on display in
Yigal Alon house in Kibbutz Ginosar.
The 35mm container is hidden just off the lawn, on the northern
side of the building. There is no writing tool in the cache.
