Yes, it's another challenge to cachers in Illinois and worldwide. First meet the simple cache-finding requirements, and then find this easy cache.
Here are the requirements:
- Find a cache without the letter E it its name. The entire name, as listed on the geocaching.com web site counts. There must be no E in the title. Exception: Caches which contain the word "cache" are permitted, as long as there is no other E in their title.
- Repeat this every day for thirty consecutive days. At least one cache each day must have no E for every one of thirty days.
- There is no restriction on cache type, difficulty or location, but you must find a qualifying cache every day for thirty consecutive days. Past finds are permitted... if you've found enough oddly-named caches, you may already qualify!
- Create a public bookmark list showing your qualifying caches. Include this challenge cache to make finding the list and checking it easier. Alternatively, you may email a list of the qualifying caches to the hider of this challenge.
- This challenge does not qualify... so it cannot count in your 30 qualifylng caches. You may find it immediately after finding the 30th cache, or any time after that.
- The decision of the cache hider is final, and may be arbitrary, capricious, or worse. Too bad.
The cache itself is a bison tube with magnet, hidden in an urban manner, at the given coordinates, as is common for challenge caches. The cache should be available 24/7... Stealth and appropriate urban manners are necessary... This is not a nice safe neighborhood full of yuppies so be smart and act appropriately. On the other hand, it's not especially dangerous here as long as you are alert.
Some kind person has created a checker application for this cache at Project-GC. You will find it here. I have not tested this fully, but the code looks reasonable, so you might find it helpful.
