Samhain Surprise Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Little Truffle-Pig: This was such a fun cache while it lasted, but time for it go.

I appreciate the property owner's tolerance for geocaching,
but his signs meant to discourage dumpers
are probably off-putting to those looking for the cache.

Remaining Swag has been transferred to a cache in Boyce Park.

Geocache Description:

SAMHAIN SURPRISE

To honor Samhain -- Halloween --
This cache is hid betwixt/between
A busy road, a quiet lane.
(If you find it, will you still be sane?)
These short days, once a time of dread,
Now time for sport and fun instead,
When veils between the worlds are thin.
(Can you get out once you get in?)

Here, the readings bounce a lot --
But cache is in its spooky spot.
If you come for caching ramble,
You won't have an awkward scramble
Nor step too far from where you park. But --best go there before dark!
Upon this spot you'll see the gloss
Of moving stream, which ghosts can't cross.
No darksome ghouls you'll need to face.
(But seek in daylight .... just in case!)

This is a traditional cache, hidden in a patch of woods by a stream (Poketa Creek). Park off Rockland Road (Map shows former name Old Greensburg Road) for easy access. For your own safety, do not park off Route 366 (Greensburg Road).

Congratulations to simonswalker and Geocachingjr
for being the first to find Samhain Surprise!
