In Honor of Harvey R. Ball Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

GeoRatz: The container is gone again. After 9 years, 2 locations and a handful of replacement containers (and a change in the geocaching.com website which altered how you have to solve the puzzle), I decided it is time to archive this one. My apologies to anyone who has solved it but not yet found it!

The cache is a hidden log-only micro (bring your own pen). The container is not directly visible and may require a bit of investigation, imagination and (gentle) poking about to find. No deconstruction or implements of destruction are necessary.

The cache location is close to a parking lot that is frequently very busy. Searching for the cache may require a bit of time -- it is highly recommended that you choose a time when the lot is relatively empty. The container was muggled twice in the cache's previous location, please employ maximum stealth to avoid being observed.

08/2017: A redesign of portions of the geocaching website several months ago has made it much more difficult to find what you need to solve this puzzle. So, a hint: If you temporarily "opt out" of the new design, you can access the prior design which will make available what you need.

[Congrats to BigRock95 and findit on FTF #1 (for cache's original location)! and Nordymogul on FTF #2 (for cache's current location)]

Encrypted hint below is for the cache location.
