Cache is NOT at the
posted coordinates!
Sagarmatha or Chomolungma is no small hill. For Houston natives,
think of an alien fire ant mound on steroids. This 'hill', standing
at 29,029 feet and resting on the border of the Khumbu region of
Nepal and the Tibetan plateau in China, has claimed the lives of
over 200 who have attempted to climb it. Although it is not
considered the most challenging 'hill' to climb, it definitely
requires perseverance, skill, and time to conquer. So will solving
this bonus cache.
To conquer this 'hill', you will need the two-digit code numbers
located at the top of the logs on each of the four No Hills Here
caches to solve this puzzle. Below is a jumble of letters that
forms the basis of the puzzle for the bonus cache. You will need to
correctly un-jumble the puzzle to form a word and then calculate a
two-digit 'bonus' number off of that word. It will require a little
reading up on some of the greatest 'hills' known to man to piece it
together, but you should know if you're on the right track. Once
you have the 'bonus' number, simply plug it into the equations
below along with the two-digit codes from each cache in the series
to solve for a final number. If the final number is single digit,
place a zero in front of it. Careful...there's a little twist. Each
digit in the final number represents part of the final coordinates.
You are welcome to collaborate with fellow cachers as needed to
crack the code and I will provide hints or sanity checks as needed.
Good luck and start your conquest of the 'mother of all hills' -
Mt. Everest!
