Find all of the Kansas Geocaches hidden before 2002!
YOU CAN NOT LOG THIS ACTUAL CONTAINER UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE CHALLENGE!
When I started Geocaching in 2001, there were only a few geocaches to find..less than a dozen in all of the Wichita area…but I was still excited about going Geocaching! I found out about Geocaching by reading an article in the Wichita newspaper.
The goal of this challenge is to find all of the active geocaches in the state of Kansas that were placed on or before December 31st, 2001. As of October 10th, 2009 that number is 49. I can only expect this number to decrease over time. This will take you all across the state and show you places you never knew existed. Don't expect to find any nano caches or very many micros.

Run a KANSAS query for caches hidden before December 31,2001 to get this list and see which ones that you have found.
If after a extensive search for any of these caches, you are unable to find them, you may, place a REPLACEMENT cache using a reasonable geocache container..no nanos...and LOG IT A FIND! Let’s keep these old Geocaches available for other Geocachers to find.
When you have completed part 1, which is to find all the required caches, please post a note here before proceeding to the final. You may supply your list of found caches in an email or a posted bookmark. Any found log submitted without meeting these requirements will be deleted.
The actual FINAL container, a Boy Scout Tin is hidden in the Wichita area but an actual visit to it is not necessary to count the CHALLENGE as complete and logged as a FIND!
YOU CAN NOT LOG THIS ACTUAL CONTAINER UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE CHALLENGE!
