Geocache Description:

The coordinates take you to the start of a short circular walk around the churchyard. Solve the clues to calculate the coordinates of the final cache.

Keep going in an anti-clockwise circle, the clues are written in that order.

Start at the main (west) door of the church, with your back to the church hall. The cache coordinates will take you to a trig point 1 metre up on the butress to the left of the main door as you look at it. From the trig point...

A. Look up to your left. How many keys are on the crest above the windows? A = ______

B. Start walking anti-clockwise around the church. A metal screen contains 3 significant dates in the history of the church. The earliest is the date when the first church stood on this site: what was that year? B = _______

C: Follow the path downhill. A plaque on a sheltered post is in memory of a man with a couple of 'Dad's Army' connections. C. When did he die? C = 19_____

D: Go left, following the path on round the church. When the path turns slightly more to the left, leave the path and go right, in amongst the gravestones. You'll find a couple of stones to the Harris family. Poor William died accidentally: D. How old was William when he died? D =___

E. Carry on until you've gone 3/4 of the way around the church. Be careful not to step on William Saxby. How old was he when he die? E = ______

Use this formula to find the final cache location:

North = 50' 50.A+B+D+1

East = 000'28.(B-E)+(CX2) +1

First to find this cache were - Bella's Pack & The Moor we Hunt. Well done.

If anybody would like to expand the Church Micro series please do, we would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first, so they can keep track of the Church numbers and names, to avoid duplication.
