Geocache Description:

No 10 in a series of caches which form a circular walk of around 6 miles from Godstone to Bletchingley (or vice versa), in 16 stages using parts of the Greensand Way(GW). Please supply your own pencil on this occasion. Dog friendly, although please keep on leads through the village. Please use stealth here as cache is fairly in the open.

We can vouch for the Red Lion (and all the other pubs in the village) if you fancy a rest and they are open.

Bletchingley is in the Domesday book and became a borough in 1225, It became a rotten borough in the 1800's, with 2 MP's or as George would say in Blackadder– a robber button. Think of all those expenses in what is a small village!

There are some beautiful buildings just off the main road all dating from the 15th century and you will pass these if you head for the St Mary’s to see the Priest Hole and the Church Micro.

There is also a village shop for refreshments.
