Geocache Description:

Several times I have been up this way and had reason to pause near these great rocks. A few months ago I began to think of reasons to place a cache here, and decided there must be lots of reasons. Here's a few for a start:

1. This is where we always hide our mountain bikes as we depart the fire trail and head off along the Australian Alps Walking Trail (AAWT).

2. Any great clump of rocks in Namadgi is worthy of a cache and an explore.

3. If you don't feel up to walking further, this is an achievable distance and great views back down into the valley.

4. It's a FABULOUS ride back down from here (apart from one section where I hold on really tight...)

5. Great spot for a coffee!

So that's a start and you fill in the rest of the 20 Good Reasons (with thanks to Thirsty Merc for the title!). Ride or walk, sprint or wander up here to enjoy the views and this great cluster of boulders, log the cache and in your on-line log please give me another good reason to add to our list.

6. RexTrex: Its half way there - (and half way back ).

7. Mr Roo: I had time to think about life while I strolled up to this cache

8. Sol de Lune: If you haven't been here before, this first impression will last a lifetime

9. Sol de Lune: If you can't ride all the way (which I couldn't) you find out while it's called a push bike (This is a line Mrs Winglen has used before.....and it's so true).

10. RexTrex: A place to anticipate the pleasure of adventures that have yet to come while exploring Namadgi.

11. Secret Squirrel: When you return from adventures beyond, this familiar place is a welcome sight and you know that the fun is about to begin - "wheeeee" all the way home - well, at least back to the car on the bike.

12. McPhan: A great spot to leave the bike helmet (so that it becomes filled with ants!)

13. Agent Basil: They have now installed errrrr public convienences along the way (refer photo) though I spent 20 minutes with my legs crossed outside as it was occupied by someone who probably had too much cheese for dinner.

14. Marcus Vitruvius: ...it's Namadgi, and it's a Winglens cache!

15. Zita & enzo: it's a great place to stop and eat!

Placed on an overnight hike with McPhan and RexTrex into the Cotter valley for a superb night camping by the river to the sound of frogs. Thanks for your company boys, and a special thanks to McPhan who carried the cache up here - very noble, because it was heavy, thank you.
