Geocache Description:

Bledingtons Bountiful Caches

This series of caches is inspired by The Chiltern Hundred in Chesham.

This is a walk in and around the village of Bledington and also skirts the edges of Foscot, Bould and Foxholes.

Whilst there are small sections of tarmac footpaths, the majority of the walk is set on rural public footpaths and bridleways and is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies. Depending on weather, the going at times can be extremely muddy. As such, terrain is set at 2.5 throughtout the series.

The series is essentially dog friendly (there are some stiles to navigate), but please abide by the various signs/notices regarding dogs on leads etc.

Please also note that at times you will pass through fields that may contain livestock. We ask that you respect their environment and well being.

We have tried to make this incorporate all the things we look for when doing a series. So there's ample parking (the published co-ordinates are to centre of village), pleasant countryside, lots of caches of various sizes, a bonus and of course the all important pub at the end!

As with The Chiltern Hundred, each cache is only a short walk from the last (the longest gap is approx 0.7miles) which will hopefully act as motivation to complete the series!

(Please help us maintain the series by reporting DNFs)

Writing implements have been provided in some caches but please come armed with your own pen/pencil.

The walk is approximately 9 miles, so we think it could take around 5-6 hours to complete. As such, we also recommend you bring plenty of supplies including notepad, water and some food to help you on your way. Sensible footwear is, of course, essential.

Please also note that this series incorporates the previously solitary caches "J&Ts" and "Even Up The Lode". To be fair to those cachers who have already logged these as finds, no bonus code will be found inside (see below).

All that's left to say is please drive carefully through the village, park considerately, replace the caches as found, with lids tight and camo in place (where applicable) and we hope you enjoy the series!

Disabled caches:
None at present.

The Bonus:

Located inside the caches are codes. Use these codes to generate the co-ordinates for the bonus cache. (Please note some caches do not contain codes):

N51.QR.STU
W001.VW.XYZ

Q = K+G-A
R = E+B-I
S = (L+D)*M
T = J-C-G
U = F+H+A
V = F+D+M
W = J+B-E
X = (C-I)*K
Y = (H+L)*G
Z = A+B-E

GOOD LUCK!!!

================================================

Having successfully completed the series and located the Bonus, navigate back to the parking, stopping off at the pub for a well deserved drink!
