My 9th trail starts at Kingsfold. There is a reason for why this
trail is called Blue Ice - so for fun please post your guesses as
to why !!
This photo was taken at Tickfold Gill, just after cache #7. It's
actually quite a drop down to the bridge and back up again but I
think it's pretty awesome scenary.
The Trail :-
The trail is largely flat, but there are a few styles. Some of
these are quite high, and some are in bad condition.
There are 2 sections, with a total of 26 caches. Each section is
split by Marches Road and there is a bonus for each section. If you
chose you can split the trail into 2 parts, however if you do there
is a 1 mile trek back to the car and you have to do the caches in
order as the coordinate equation for the 2nd bonus is contained in
the 1st bonus !
The second half of the trail involves a little road walking, and 2
crossings of a railway. So please be careful. I would advise
against doing this in the dark.
Additional Info :-
Trail Length - 7.03 miles / 26 caches + 2 bonuses
