Dirty Harry, as most people know, was filmed in San Francisco. Harry Callahan is an Investigator who is going after the Scorpio Killer. In order to find this cache, you will have to go to six different locations in the city to obtain clues in order to piece together the coordinates for the cache. The cache is a small Tupperware container located somewhere in the city.
The cache is not located at the posted coordinates, however, the posted coordinates are your stating point. The locations that you will need to visit are all specific spots which were filmed in the movie. This cache is not difficult, just a little time consuming. However, if you look at it as a tour for the movie “Dirty Harry,” I believe that you will enjoy it as much as I did creating this multi-cache. All these locations, as well as the cache, are available 24 hours a day.

A - Hall of Justice - The coordinates posted above. In order to solve for “A,” you will need to walk inside the Hall of Justice. You will not NEED to go through the metal detectors, but it might help. On the right hand side, there are several large plaques dedicated to the San Francisco Police Officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. To obtain the value for “A,” find the seventh fallen Officer listed and count the number of letters in their name.
B - Forest Hill Muni Station - Harry Callahan has to run down into the Muni area and get onto the underground rail system. To solve for “B,” there is a pole, approximately 8 feet tall, which is right in front of the Muni Station, which states the different buses which stop at this particular bus stop. The second digit of the first bus line listed is the same value as “B.” And just in case you are trying to figure it out via Google, the sign is right behind the bus.
C - 20th Street and Church St. - In the movie, Harry Callahan has to make it to this location in order to receive a phone call for the ransom. There is no longer a phone booth here. Instead, there is a large green metal box. To solve for the value of “C,” count the number of padlocks on the large metal box.
X - Mt. Davidson - Where Harry Callahan meets the Scorpio Killer face to face for the first time. To solve for the value for “X,” look at the plaques at the base of the cross. Look at the one in cement, and note the year. The last digit on the year is the same value of “X.”
Y - 1606 Stockton St - The Scorpio Killer’s sniper position to kill the priest. To obtain the value for “Y,” notice two words that are written directly below the address “1606.” The number of letters in the second word is the value for “Y.”
Z - California and Market - (1 California St) - This is the famous “Do you feel lucky punk?” scene occurs. This scene is depicted as being shot in San Francisco, and is represented to be at this area, however, this scene was actually filmed in Universal Studios. Even though it was filmed there, one can not complete this cache with out visiting this spot. To obtain the value of “Z,” the coordinate (and address) will put you right in front of a parking meter which controls six different parking spots. Examine the front of the meter, and note the time that parking enforcement STARTS. That number is the value for “Z.”
Make sure you use EXTREME stealth since this area is highly populated throughout the day.

The locations are all handicap accessible, including Mt. Davidson. There is a long steep path that leads up to the cross. However, the information needed could probably be located by other means. However, I do encourage you to visit Mt. Davidson. It has amazing views, and there is some amazing history regarding the cross described on a large plaque.
The final cache location is handicap accessible, but there is a slight chance that you may need some assistance. So bring a friend, just in case. Hey, you could have them push you up that long hill to Mt. Davidson!
