How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The moment on Earth when day length equals night length is called Equinox. The cache was hidden on the Equinox day hence the equal sign in the name.

Equinox happens twice a year: in March and September. This is when the Sun at Equator is exactly above your head. The autumnal Equinox in 2009 happened at 21:18UTC on September 22nd. As per traditions of Balt religion Lithuanians celebrate Dagos holiday on that day with a symbol Kursis (Jumis in Latvia) involved.
Come visit the Planetarium next to the cache and learn more about our Sun, planets, and the whole Universe.

The coords provided are only approximate. As with all my hides I try to do as much sampling as possible, but seldom get a professional precision. Don't expect to find the cache exactly at the numbers your GPSr reads. Other than plainly logging "off coords" please add your version of correct coords, this will make your entry useful both for cache owner and other seekers. Appreciate your cooperation.
