Geocache Description:

A scenic hillwalk on Cnoc Mordáin, the most southerly summit in the South Connemara

There are 2 possible approaches to this hillwalk - from southwest or northeast. The walk from the southwest to the cache is the shortest route.

Starting from the southwest car park, you should follow the path to the "End Of Path" waypoint and then make your way up and along the ridge to the cache location.

The altitude difference is ~200m. Proper waterproof walking boots and gaiters are required as this area is very boggy during the rainy season - can be summer in Ireland :-)

This geocache can be combined with our other cache Cnoc Mordáin [GC1YN3E]. As a rough estimate, doing both caches could take up to 4 hours depending on your fitness and experience levels.

For more information about this hill go to MountainViews, for further details about the Flannery Bridge go to the Flannery Clan Website.

Enjoy.
