[DE] Der Bau der Universität West für die Ingenieurwissenschaften wurde 1991 begonnen.
1993 wurde der erste Bauabschnitt, der auch den Reinraum umfasste, fertiggestellt. Im WS 1995/1996 erfolge die Fertigstellung des zweiten Bauabschnitts.
2001 wurde die neue Bibliotheks-Zentrale eröffnet.
Ursprünglich wurde Elektrotechnik als Diplomstudiengang angeboten, der mittlerweile wurde auf Bachelor- und Masterstudiengang umgestellt wurde. Neue, weitere angebotene Studiengänge sind Informationssystemtechnik und drei englischsprachige Masterstudiengänge.
Unweit des Caches befinden sich die beiden Hörsäle, die als "gelber" und "blauer Hörsaal" bzw. als "Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Hörsaal" und "UFO" bekannt sind.
Im gelben Hörsaal fanden am 19.6.2010 die Vorträge im Rahmen von "Das Ulmer FORT" statt.
[EN] Construction of University West started in 1991.
In 1993 the first part which included the clean room was completed. In winter semester 1995/1996 the completion of the second part followed.
In 2001 the new central library was opened.
Originally a diploma in Electrical Engineering was offered, now it has been changed to bachelor and master. New additional studies are Information System Technology and three master studies which are taught in English.
Not far from the cache are the two lecture halls, known as "yellow" and "blue lecture hall" or as "Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Hörsaal" and "UFO".
The presentations during "Das Ulmer FORT" on June 19th 2010 took place in the yellow lecture hall.
