Geocache Description:

This is now a fifteen cache series along the footpaths by the river Cole. The River Cole is a short river. It raises in Redhill, near Kings Norton, South of Birmingham. After flowing through Birmingham, it passes Coleshill, to which it gave its name. It joins the River Blythe, of which it is a tributary, near Ladywalk, shortly before the Blythe meets the Tame. It is 27 miles (43 km) long. Eleven kilometers of the river in the Cole Valley is protected by the Kingfisher Country Park. Some of the walk needs a good clean up so I have kept caches off the ground in these areas. I have placed this series to celebrate my 1000th cache. As the name implies I hope the caches will be a challenge but findable. There is a First to finish the series prize so e mail me when you have completed the series. This cache is the first in the series and is near to the rear of St. Cyprians Church, built in 1873. It backs onto the Cole. Cache is 0.1Ltr container.
There is no parking by the cache , you can park on the Argos / Next Car Park and walk along a wide verge take care of children its a main road and keep dogs on a lead.

Congratulations to graham1875 who was first to find all sixteen in the series. Also congratulations to AJIGeo who got the first 15 way ahead of everyone else, but due to some problems with publishing No1 where pipped by Graham. Well done to UKLifesaver who was 3rd to complete the series.
