The church is basically Norman on a Saxon site, but contains
much 13th century work. It was considerably restored in 1874-75 and
1888. The fabric is some rubble with some Roman tiles and the
wooden belfry has massive wooden timbers. There is some 13th
century stained glass and a large dug-out chest. The octagonal font
is circa 1400.
