SLO: Planina Kofce (1488 m) je ena od planin na južnem robu Košute, podolgovatega gorovja, ki poteka vzdolž slovensko-avstrijske meje. Od planin na tem podrocju je najbolj popularna in znana po izdelkih iz kravjega in kozjega mleka. Planinska koca je cez poletje, ko so na planini tudi krave in ovce, odprta ves cas, od jeseni do pomladi pa med vikendi. Zelo priljubljena je tudi med otroki.
Izhodisc je vec in so dobro opisana tudi na internetu. Mi smo si izbrali vzpon iz kmetije Matizovec (glej PARK koordinate), od koder je cca 1h hoje skozi gozd do planine. Do tja pridete tako, da v Podljubelju (smer Avstrija) zavijete na desno, nato takoj levo, ter cez par sto metrov spet desno (smerokaz KOFCE). Nato se le še držite ceste do kmetije, kjer pustite avto ob cesti. Pot do planine je dobro shojena in primerno oznacena.
ENG: Kofce is a mountain herding place under Košuta mountain which streches along slovenian - austrian border. During the summer, the mountain hut is open all day and only for weekends from autumn to spring. Cows and goats are present on the mountain during summer so you can buy fresh dairy products here during summer.
There are a few different routes up to Kofce. We went up from Podljubelj (if you drive towards Austria turn right at the Podljubelj sign), then immediately left and right again after a few 100 meters (KOFCE is signposted). Then drive up all the way to the Matizovec farm and park your car there (see PARK coordinates). The trail is well signed and worn, 1 h each direction.
