This year marks my 17th high school reunion. Boy does time fly!! So many memories, and so many funny things I remember people doing back in the ole’ days! Here are some of my memories.

Photobucket

Everyone has a person they remember most from high school, and I am no exception. Cleo was most memorable for me. He was the biggest class clown and he was always getting into trouble with all the teachers. He was partial to the whoopee cushions and pranks! Now this guy King, he was a different type of guy. He was shy, reserved but the way he acted, most people thought he was trying to be all regal or something. He never bothered me much though, and I heard he's making millions now. Guess I should have been nicer to him as I could use a hand out lol! My favorite class was Home Economics. Those Baker ovens were a lot of fun and I'll always be remembered for accidentally catching an oven on fire with my "poor attempt" at baking a cake. The teacher wasn't too happy that the smoke detectors went off, but hey! Less time in class! Who doesn't love that??? (and i still can't bake by the way!!) My friend Kate was probably the most memorable to everyone. She was the prom and homecoming queen, captain of the cheerleader team, etc etc etc, and she went to both her senior dances with her best friend Florence which upset Danny who was her boyfriend at the time. So, to spite her, he ended up going with my best friend Bonnie. Oh the drama!!!
My grandmother Gladys and Aunt Agnes said that one day I'd look back on high school and remember all the fun that I had and laugh at what seemed so dramatic at the moment that is meaningless now. I think they were right. I never dreamed that kids of my own would be watching shows like Dora. I haven’t talked to my friend David in a long time but he still is obsessed with Ginger from that old TV show about stranded people and has lots of memorabilia. Donna, his girlfriend said that at night he still likes to watch a lot of re-runs. I think I could find something better to do with my time. Oh! And I just heard that my good friend Audrey had a baby girl. I have to be sure to go and see her soon and bring a present for the baby. Funny she had a baby, because in high school she swore she'd never have kids. Boy does time fly!
